Job Schedule: Full-Time
What you’ll do- Review recipes and menus, select appropriate ingredients, and prepare meals according to approved recipes.
- Cook meals that are nourishing, palatable, and appetizing in appearance using approved recipes.
- Prepare meals for special diets.
- Maintain inventory.
- Plan cooking schedules.
- Clean work areas including pots and pans, refrigerators, freezers, vents, and ceilings.
- High School diploma or GED
- Age 21 with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to be insured on Buckner insurance and provide transportation of meals within the campus.
- Minimum one-year related experience
- Knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness, and sanitation requirements.
- Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects.
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk for over 75% of shift.
