Position Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker's / Retail Sales Associate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Compensation: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour; commission opportunities available for every transaction processed; UP TO 8% commission on transactions in addition to hourly pay.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate engages with customers, processes sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with inquiries and problem resolution.

The role involves working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The position offers hourly pay plus commissions based on productivity.

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform open/close procedures (non-management).
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and display merchandise.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborate to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math proficiency; cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office equipment.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
