An Aircraft Mechanic III is responsible for performing repairs, modifications and installations on C-12 aircraft. The role requires troubleshooting, rigging and operationally checking/test engines: P&W PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-60, PT6A-65 turbo props. The mechanic operates ground support equipment and flight line vehicles, reads, writes and interprets technical manuals and directives, and is proficient at sheet‑metal repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Site Manager in accordance with instructions and applicable technical data.
  • Evaluate aircraft discrepancies, identify proper methods for repair, and determine necessary parts, materials and tooling.
  • Utilize maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints and other publications to install, test, troubleshoot and complete aircraft modifications in a timely manner.
  • Inspect for corrosion, treat and repair discrepancies, perform touch‑up painting and apply decals, labels, and prep components for paint.
  • Remove and replace engines, complete engine rigging and testing.
  • Comply with established standards of workmanship, safety, quality, and production.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Performance KPIs will be linked to the Capabilities Program Manager’s achievement of obligations, company requirements, and overall project delivery in scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

Work Experience

  • Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license required.
  • 5+ years experience on C-12 aircraft (A200/B200/B300/1900).
  • 5+ years experience on Pratt & Whitney PT6A turbo‑prop engines (PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-60, PT6A-65).
  • 5+ years experience with airframe, mechanical and electrical systems.

Educational Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
