DescriptionAn Aircraft Mechanic I shall perform inspections, repairs, modifications, and installations on C-12 aircraft avionics, wiring, components and flight controls. Operates ground support equipment and flight line vehicles. Must be able to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals and/or directives necessary for the accomplishment of job assignment.
The Aircraft Mech I reports directly to the ACI Supervisors.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe primary functions of an "Aircraft Mechanic I" and which can be performed without direct supervision include:
- Performs tasks as assigned/directed by Crew Team Leader, Lead man, Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Site Manager in accordance with instructions, applicable technical data, manuals, and directives.
- Evaluates aircraft discrepancies to identify proper methods for repair. Identifies necessary parts, materials and tooling requirements to complete task.
- Utilize manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, Maintenance Engineering Directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints, charts and other applicable publications to install, test, troubleshoot and ensure aircraft modifications are accomplished in a timely manner.
- Inspect for corrosion, treat and repair discrepancies. Perform touch up painting and apply decals and labels. Prepare aircraft components for paint.
- Comply with and follow established standards of workmanship, safety, quality, and production.
- Amongst other basis, the performance KPI shall be linked to the Capabilities Program Manager’s achievement of obligations and company requirements. It shall cover amongst others the following areas:
Successful programs/projects delivery in terms of scope, schedule, cost, quality, etc. Additional KPIs shall be developed by the Capabilities Program Manager, Senior Lead Engineer and/or PMO management, subject to the requirements of the PMO and the business as a whole.
- Airframe, mechanical and electrical experience – preferred.
- A&P License
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to details and follow-through skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
