Angelo Water Service is hiring a Water Treatment / Plumbing Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential and commercial water treatment equipment throughout San Angelo and the surrounding area.
No water treatment experience is required. If you bring a solid mechanical background, a willingness to learn, and pride in doing a job right,
we can teach you water treatment.

Experience in plumbing, HVAC, irrigation, appliance repair, equipment installation, oilfield maintenance, facilities maintenance, mechanical repair, or another hands-on trade can translate well into this position.
What You’ll DoOur Service Technicians work directly with customers in their homes and businesses, so we’re looking for someone who can combine mechanical ability with dependable, professional customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnose and troubleshoot water treatment equipment and plumbing connections
Install water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, filtration systems, and related equipment
Service, repair, maintain, and upgrade Culligan and non-Culligan water treatment equipment
Work primarily with PEX and PVC plumbing connections
Learn water treatment principles, equipment, installation standards, and troubleshooting procedures
Obtain a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Water Treatment Specialist license within 90 days of employment with company assistance for training and testing
Explain completed work and equipment recommendations clearly and professionally to customers
Complete service documentation accurately and on time
Maintain assigned company vehicle, tools, parts, and equipment
Assist with salt, bottled water, and equipment deliveries when needed
Work independently in the field while communicating effectively with the office and other technicians
Follow company safety procedures and Culligan service standards
Represent Angelo Water Service professionally in our customers’ homes, businesses, and throughout the community
We’re interested in someone who already knows how to work with their hands, use tools, troubleshoot problems, and take responsibility for their work — but you do not have to know the water treatment industry.
The right person for our team is dependable, coachable, mechanically minded, willing to learn, and comfortable working independently. We want someone who can take direction during training and eventually have the confidence and knowledge to diagnose a problem and get the job done correctly.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED
Previous experience in plumbing, HVAC, irrigation, appliance repair, equipment installation, oilfield maintenance, mechanical service, facilities maintenance, or a similar hands-on trade preferred
Plumbing experience is a plus, particularly PEX and PVC
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
Good communication and customer service skills
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements
Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, and Work Steps assessment
Willing and able to complete required training and obtain a TCEQ Water Treatment Specialist license within 90 days of employment
