This position is responsible for:

• Driving a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers to and from various locations.
• Ensuring proper maintenance of vehicles.
• Picking up donations and making delivery drop-offs.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Driving Responsibilities (90%)
• Vehicle Maintenance Responsibilities (10%)

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
• Ability to read and follow a map and/or hand‑written directions.
• Ability to drive a box truck safely and in compliance with laws, policies, and regulations.
• Duties are usually performed seated; may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
• Limited physical effort required related to walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5‑10% of work time.

• Work requires driving a vehicle and working in a kitchen daily with exposure to the outdoors.
• Physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• One year experience driving a bus preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Valid State Driver’s License
