We're partnering with a well-established Property & Casualty (P&

C) insurance business in San Antonio that operates with a true small-business, family-style culture. This team values trust, consistency, and collaboration-and they're excited to bring on an Accounting Manager who can own the accounting function while helping modernize and streamline processes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys end-to-end accounting, has experience in regulated environments, and wants their ideas to actually be heard and implemented.

The Role

The Accounting Manager will oversee the full accounting cycle and play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement. You'll work closely with leadership and have meaningful visibility into the business.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Own month-end close (MEC) and full-cycle accounting

+ Prepare and review financial statements and management reports

+ Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable

+ Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis

+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

+ Assist with audit and regulatory examinations

+ Support statutory reporting and NAIC filings

+ Work with multi-state insurance accounting requirements

+ Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve processes

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, or Business

+ 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a small business or hands-on environment with ownership of end-to-end accounting

+ Bilingual in Spanish required

+ Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

+ Solid background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

+ Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable

+ Experience in Property & Casualty (P&

C) insurance accounting preferred

+ Exposure to statutory reporting and NAIC standards a plus

+ Experience supporting audits or regulatory examinations

+ Familiarity with multi-state insurance operations is a plus

+ Strong attention to detail, high level of integrity, and consistency in execution

+ Comfortable working in a small, close-knit, family-style environment

+ Proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and automation
