Senior Corporate Tax Accountant

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000
My client is a rapidly growing organization in the manufacturing and industrial sector, seeking a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to take full ownership of the corporate tax function. This is a key hire responsible for bringing tax in‑house, setting direction, ensuring compliance, and serving as the organization’s tax subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities for the Tax Accountant
- Manage full corporate tax compliance and strategy for a C‑Corp structure.
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Partner closely with leadership and external advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Drive tax planning strategies, efficiency initiatives, and ongoing process improvements.
- Provide tax guidance, mentorship, and support to internal stakeholders.
- Strengthen documentation, controls, and tax‑related workflows.
Qualifications for the Tax Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- 5+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of corporate tax law, federal tax regulations, and multi‑state/local compliance.
- Hands‑on experience preparing C‑Corp tax returns.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Self‑starter capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
