The Talent Solutions team at CLA has been engaged by Royberg, Inc. to identify and assist in the hiring of a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health and operational integrity of the organization. This position is responsible for general ledger oversight, cost accounting activities, inventory valuation, month‑end close, financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls.
The ideal candidate has deep accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and hands‑on experience supporting a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities- Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and improve the integrity of the general ledger.
- Support the preparation of internal financial reports, variance analyses, and management presentations.
- Assist with annual audit activities and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including BOMs, labor, overhead, and standard cost updates.
- Monitor production variances and provide actionable insights to plant leadership.
- Perform inventory accounting, including cycle counts, adjustments, and valuation.
- Partner with operations to improve cost visibility and support profitability initiatives.
- Support the development of the annual operating budget and standard cost roll process.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
- Participate in internal control testing and SOX-related activities, if applicable.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve the efficiency of financial workflows.
- Support ERP upgrades or enhancements related to accounting and manufacturing modules.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Procurement teams to support financial decision‑making.
- Provide financial insights for CAPEX requests, new product introductions, and production planning.
- Assist with special projects and analytical work as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with mid‑market or enterprise ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
