This role will support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong emphasis on grant management and compliance. The ideal candidate brings nonprofit accounting expertise, strong general ledger experience, and the ability to work effectively in a focused, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee grant-related accounting activities, including tracking budgets, expenditures, and funding restrictions
- Reconcile grant accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and assist with month-end close
- Monitor spending and collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain documentation to support audits and reporting requirements
- Ensure adherence to donor guidelines, nonprofit standards, and internal controls
- 5–7 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Prior nonprofit accounting experience, including grant accounting (required)
- Experience with Net Suite or another large ERP system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
