Senior Accountant

This is a senior‑level project accounting role designed for someone who wants true ownership of large, complex construction projects and visibility with leadership while mentoring a team and driving financial performance on marquee builds.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own full project accounting oversight for large, complex construction projects
• Manage and audit AIA billings, A/R, WIP, and contract compliance in accordance with GAAP and company policy
• Analyze client contracts to determine billing terms, payment schedules, reimbursables, and labor rates
• Oversee A/P for vendors and subcontractors, ensuring lien waivers, insurance, and contract requirements are met
• Lead month‑end close, project forecasting, cash position reporting, and financial closeout
• Supervise and develop assistant accountants and clerks, providing coaching and performance feedback

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of construction project accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of AIA billing, job cost, contract terms, and project financial controls
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior accounting staff
• Proficiency with SAP and Textura; advanced Excel skills required
