Audit, Tax Accountant

Position: Audit Staff
Join Cherry Bekaert's growing Audit practice ()  in San Antonio as an Associate (Assurance Staff), where you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of client engagements. Our San Antonio office continues to expand following the acquisition of Calvetti Ferguson, ()  offering a dynamic environment with strong local roots and national firm resources.

As part of our team, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals, develop your technical accounting knowledge, and build meaningful client relationships while contributing to high-quality audit services that help organizations move forward with confidence.

** As an Associate (Assurance Staff), you will:*
* + Engage and serve clients across various industries, contributing to audit engagements from planning through completion

+ Communicate effectively with project leaders, team members, and clients to support engagement execution

+ Develop technical accounting knowledge while performing financial statement audits

+ Prepare audit checklists and assist with journal entry adjustments

+ Support the preparation of financial statements alongside clients, building strong business writing skills

+ Prepare, organize, and maintain audit work papers and supporting documentation

+ Partner with assurance professionals and contribute to a collaborative team environment

+ Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support client service delivery

** What you bring to the role:*
* + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

+ 1+ years of accounting or related experience; internships or academic experience considered

+ Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel)

+ Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail

+ Ability to travel to client sites, including frequent same-day travel and occasional overnight travel

+ Flexibility to work moderate overtime throughout the year, with heavier workloads during peak audit cycles

+ A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn within a team-oriented environment

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.

* $65,000 - $83,000 per year
