Title:

CPA - Tax Associate

Compensation: $55,000 – 70,000 + base DOE

Position

Description:

Our Client is looking for a Tax Associate for their San Antonio, Texas office. This position requires a steady, accurate, analytical worker who can complete a project on time, every time. The right candidate will have a desire to achieve goals while also being accountable and will thrive in a professional work environment. They will be willing to cooperate with everyone, while also being supportive and helpful as a team member.

Qualifications
  • CPA required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • 2+ years tax preparation experience preferred
  • Lacerte and CCH, XCM, and Engagement experiences a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting and tax principles
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting processes
  • Outstanding written and communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations and individuals
  • Identify and communicate issues raised and recommend solutions
  • Obtain and compile tax documentation ensuring conclusions are well-documented
  • Research tax rules and regulations and document conclusion
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the client
  • Provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding their end objectives
  • Ensure adherence at all times to all applicable company and professional standards
  • Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and changes related to taxes
