Tax Staff - San Antonio

Cherry Bekaert is a leading accounting and consulting firm that offers tax engagements across a range of industries. As a Tax Staff member you will work under the supervision of senior professionals, build tax knowledge, and contribute to client solutions.

As a Tax Staff at Cherry Bekaert, you will:

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in‑charges and clients.
• Develop tax knowledge while preparing basic and intermediate individual tax returns.
• Prepare federal and multi‑state corporate tax returns and basic partnership returns.
• Research fundamental tax issues using online tools.
• Prepare and organize work papers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CPA certified or eligibility to obtain a CPA license.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel to client sites, including frequent same‑day and occasional out‑of‑town trips.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year, with heavier overtime during business cycles.
• Eligibility to work in the United States; no work sponsorship provided.

Pay Range: $87,000. Benefits include annual bonus, medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, generous paid time off, retirement plans, paid care leave, and additional programs that support personal and professional life.
