Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant Position

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account variances
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis
• Assist with financial reporting and preparation of supporting schedules
• Analyze account activity and provide explanations for fluctuations and trends
• Perform bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and general ledger maintenance
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience; internship experience and strong early-career backgrounds will be considered
• Understanding of GAAP and foundational accounting principles
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting support
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables
