Our client, a growing healthcare organization, is seeking a Sr Accountant to join its team in San Antonio. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role responsible for leading the ME close process, maintaining the GL, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Primary Job Functions- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate GL coding
- Support external audits and tax preparation
- Oversee the relationship with a third-party accounting vendor
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and accounting best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience with responsibility for month-end close
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- CPA and Net Suite experience are a plus
