Accounting Manager (Confidential Search)

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 + Bonus Potential

We’re partnering with a stable, well-established organization to find an Accounting Manager who wants a meaningful, hands‑on role with strong visibility across the finance team.

This position sits pretty close to the Controller level in terms of responsibility, making it a good fit for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting into the details, without necessarily wanting to move into an executive track right away.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure clean, timely financial reporting
• Run and/or support the month‑end and year‑end close process
• Step in on Controller-level responsibilities as needed
• Work within GASB guidelines, including lease accounting
• Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Support audits, budgeting, and forecasting
• Partner with other teams to improve processes and internal controls
• Work in systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central

• CPA required (open to both newer and more experienced candidates)
• Background in governmental accounting
• Familiarity with GASB standards, especially lease accounting
• Someone who enjoys being hands‑on and detail‑oriented
• Experience in nonprofit or private environments is helpful but not required
