Senior Accountant (Contract | 6–8 Weeks)

Our client is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to provide temporary support during a period of increased workload and internal team restructuring. This consultant will play a key role in supporting month‑end close activities while partnering closely with accounting leadership and following established processes and SOPs.

• Support month‑end close activities for two subsidiaries (~$20M and ~$60M in annual revenue)
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts
• Assist with accruals and recurring monthly accounting processes
• Review P&L and balance sheet activity to identify variances and unusual trends
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies as needed
• Work within established procedures and internal controls
• Collaborate with accounting leadership during onboarding and transition periods

• 3+ years of Senior Accountant or equivalent accounting experience
• Strong month‑end close and general ledger accounting background
• Experience with journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Ability to analyze financial statements and investigate variances
• Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable asking questions
• Experience supporting small to mid‑sized organizations preferred

• Not a highly analytical or reporting‑heavy role
• No advanced Excel, macros, financial modeling, or complex reporting required
• Seeking a hands‑on contributor rather than a Controller or Director‑level professional

• Start: ASAP (within 2 weeks preferred)
• Duration: 6–8 weeks (approximately 3 month‑end close cycles)
• Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
• Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour
