Assistant Controller

Unity Search has partnered with a solid private equity firm searching for an Assistant Controller. This role can mostly be remote with meetings from time to time in Dallas.

• Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
• Tax, Audit & Compliance
• Process Improvement, Controls & Technology

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• CPA or Chartered Accountant strongly preferred
• Preferably 4-8 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to fund accounting within private equity, asset management, fund of funds, family office, or similar alternatives
• Strong technical accounting skills in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional finance or accounting context and a genuine curiosity about how emerging technology can be applied to fund accounting, reporting, and financial analysis
• Highly detailed, growth-oriented, and strong written and verbal communication skills
