Adecco is hiring immediately for a Grant Accountant position in San Antonio, TX.  Weekly pay starting at $27.00 to $30.00 p/hr. based on experience.  This is an opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career.

** Position Summary** :

Position holder supports the full lifecycle of federal, state, and local transportation funding, ensuring compliance with GAAP, 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance), and applicable regulations from TXDOT, FHWA, and FTA. Responsibilities include monitoring grant budgets, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, processing reimbursements, and assisting with audits.

Core duties include reviewing contracts and invoices for compliance and accuracy, preparing and

submitting monthly billing packages, reconciling financial records with fiscal agents/vendors,

maintaining inventory and fiscal controls, and supporting audit processes.

The position requires independent judgment, accuracy, and the ability to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

The position holder reports to the office manager and works closely with the administrative & grants financial specialist.

** Essential Job Functions** :

Ensure effective grants management by maintaining compliance with funding requirements, 2

CFR 200, producing accurate financial information, and supporting the organization's positive

financial position.

Review invoices and time reports, process payments, post transactions (including payroll),

reconcile financial records, and prepare financial reports and correspondence.

Support monthly and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP and regulatory

requirements.

Analyze financial information to track assets, liabilities, and organizational activity while

maintaining accurate, detailed records.

Assist with the annual audit by preparing financial schedules, gathering documentation, and

responding to auditor requests.

Monitor budget-related expenditures, review encumbrances, identify the need for amendments,

and assist in drafting revisions.

Assist in ensuring the integrity of financial records and controls by

· verifying vendor accuracy,

· ensuring that utility payments are current

· verifying the accuracy, consistency, and

completeness of electronic data entry and filing, and checking that account payable transactions are accurate and comply with applicable policies and procedures.

Communicate with vendors, staff, and external agencies (including the Bexar County Auditors'

Office) to ensure timely payments and resolve issues.

Review procurement documentation; process deposits and general ledger entries; review

purchasing requisitions and data; pick up and deliver checks; and handle accounts payable tasks

as needed.

Support timekeeping-related responsibilities by collecting and verifying time reports, resolving

discrepancies, maintaining leave records, and training staff on reporting procedures.

Assist with facility closing duties and perform general administrative tasks as assigned.

Stay informed of organizational policies, contribute to cross-training efforts, maintain

confidentiality, and keep the supervisor informed of progress and issues.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required knowledge, skills, and duties include:

Contextual understanding of standard office procedures, contract management, governmental

accounting, and budget control, as well as the ability to interpret and apply regulations such as 2

CFR 200 and GASB standards.

Strong analytical and organizational skills are necessary to collect, manage, and present financial

data accurately and promptly.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level in Excel), Adobe Standard, and standard office equipment is required.

Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening, along with the

ability to prepare complex documents and coordinate tasks across multiple projects.

Highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of working both independently and

collaboratively.
