Grant Accountant

We're partnering with a mission-driven organization in San Antonio that is looking to add a Grant Accountant to its team. This position offers a unique combination of accounting, compliance, reporting, and business partnership, with direct involvement in programs funded by federal and state grants.
You'll have ownership of your grant portfolio from billing and collections through reporting and compliance, while working closely with leadership to ensure funding is managed accurately and effectively.

- Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable and general ledger balances
- Assist with audits and provide schedules and documentation as needed
- Track budgets, expenditures, and overall grant performance
- Partner with program leaders and internal stakeholders to support funding and reporting needs
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit or grant-funded environment
- Experience with federal and state grants, reporting requirements, and compliance standards
- Strong accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger experience
- Ability to manage multiple grants and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across departments
