Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Our client, a commercial electrical services company located in San Antonio is searching for an Accountant to join the organization. The company has a strong history of growth within the local market and does business throughout Texas. They are an employee owned company and have a great culture! Job Duties:

• Perform daily and monthly general ledger accounting activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, balance sheet, and other assigned accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper account coding.
• Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable activity.
• Assist with construction job costing and review job cost transactions for accuracy.
• Review project costs, labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and other direct and indirect costs.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
• Assist the Controller with special projects and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Construction industry experience preferred
