AUDIT ASSOCIATE

Location:

Onsite (MUST RESIDE IN OMAHA, NE OR SAN ANTONIO, TX)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Audit Associate to join a growing team responsible for reviewing insurance policies and conducting premium audits. This role is ideal for graduates or professionals with backgrounds in business, finance, accounting, insurance, or auditing who enjoy working with data, solving problems, and interacting with customers. You will analyze payroll, tax, and accounting records, communicate with policyholders, and apply insurance rules to ensure accurate premium calculations across multiple insurance lines.

What You'll Do

+ Review payroll, tax, accounting, and business records to determine accurate insurance premium exposure.

+ Conduct audits for Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Professional Liability insurance policies.

+ Contact policyholders by phone and email to gather information regarding business operations and employee job duties.

+ Analyze insurance classifications and recommend updates when appropriate.

+ Apply state manual rules, including wage adjustments, overtime credits, and other premium calculations.

+ Complete audit worksheets and document findings using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.

+ Communicate audit results and provide outstanding customer service throughout the process.

+ Resolve customer questions and disputes regarding audit outcomes.

+ Maintain accuracy while managing multiple audits and deadlines.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical field.

+ Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong phone and customer service skills.

+ High attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.

+ Ability to interpret and apply complex rules and guidelines.

+ Self-motivated with strong time management skills.

+ Desire to learn and grow professionally.

+ Previous experience in insurance, auditing, accounting, payroll, finance, or related fields preferred.

+ Knowledge of Workers' Compensation, General Liability, or Professional Liability insurance preferred.

+ Experience reviewing financial records or conducting audits preffered.

This is a Permanent position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42681.00 - $42681.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Benefits are effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. New tuition reimbursement program - after 6 months of employment, all employees are eligible so long as they seek HR approval prior to enrollment, and the classes/programs are related to a field ation time is front-loaded to the employee balance on December first with the vacation accrual for the entire year.
