Position: Accounting Intern (Onsite)

SWBC is seeking talented students to join our College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This exciting opportunity is for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their field of study. Interns will gain practical, hands‑on experience and training that will provide growth and development in the financial services industry. Full‑time and part‑time paid internship opportunities are available in a variety of departments including Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Mortgage, Insurance, Legal, PEO, Lender Placed Operations, Financial Institutions, Investment Services and Training.

Interns are placed within a specific division based on interest, experience, academic coursework, SWBC’s business need and flexibility with college/university schedules.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Build awareness and gain exposure to the accounting department.
  • Effectively communicate and integrate into a professional team environment.
  • Learn key technical skills to apply acquired knowledge and assist in problem solving.
  • Gain practical, hands‑on experience that provides an opportunity for growth.
  • Work alongside and shadow team members while expanding knowledge and further developing skills.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related program from an accredited university or college.
  • Expected graduation date of December
    2026 or later.
  • Must have completed AccountingI and Accounting II coursework.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required.
  • Detail oriented and possess excellent follow‑up skills.
  • Organized and able to adapt well to change.
  • Passion and desire for learning and a proactive energy for getting things done.
  • Ability to display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
