Scope of PositionThe Corporate Controller will serve as a hands-on leader in Trustwell’s accounting operations, driving financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and themaintenanceof best-in-class accounting standards. This highlyvisiblerole demands deep technical accounting expertise, a sharp operational mindset, and a proactive approach tooptimizingfinancial processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in aligning day-to-day execution with long-term financial strategy, partnering cross-functionally to support Trustwell’s continued growth and mission-driven success.

Building strong cross-functional relationships,anticipatingfinancial risks, and continuously improving processes will be key to driving both operational excellence and strategic impact.

- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement sin accordance withGAAP.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, andmaintainingthe current close by EOD workday 2.
- Lead the annual external audit process and coordinate with external auditorsfor the US and UK.
- Design, document, implement, and continuously improve a scalable internal-control environment, including appropriate segregation of duties, approval authorities, account reconciliations, and management review controls.
- Identifyaccounting processes that will not scale with the company’s growth and proactively redesign them before they become constraints.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to improve billing accuracy, contract-to-cash processes, collections, and customer payment terms.
- Deep knowledgeandfirst-handexperienceapplyingASC 606, ASC 805,andASC 350-40.
- Own revenue recognition policies and processes under ASC 606, including contract review, deferred revenue, contract assets/liabilities, and commissions where applicable.
- Partner with FP&A and Revenue Operations to ensure consistency between bookings, billings, ARR, revenue, deferred revenue, and cash collections.
- Own the accounting systems environment and drive automation, systems integration, and process improvements that improve scalability, accuracy, controls, and reporting efficiency. Serve as the Finance lead for accounting-related system implementations and integrations.
- Analyze financial data andprovideactionable insights to leadership in decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and filings.
- Supervise and mentor members of the accounting team.
- Assistin financial due diligence, M&A activity,and investor reporting.
Ensure the books are ready for anexit or add-on transactionat any moment. - Other duties as needed.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Strong attention to detail anda high levelof integrity.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems;
Net Suite,Maxio, and Ripplingexperience is a plus. - Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
