Job Overview

Data Entry Specialist located in San Antonio, Texas. This full‑time onsite role operates Monday‑Friday 9‑5 CT.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establish entry priorities.
  • Process customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies, resolving discrepancies with standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader.
  • Enter alphanumeric customer data.
  • Maintain data‑entry requirements by following data‑program techniques and procedures.
  • Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re‑entering information; combine data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purge duplicate records.
  • Test system changes and upgrades by inputting new data and reviewing output.
  • Secure information by completing database backups.
  • Uphold operations by following policies and procedures; report needed changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality to protect customer confidence and operations.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior data‑entry experience preferred (6,000 ksph or higher with 100% accuracy).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations preferred.
  • Understanding of customer‑service principles and processes, including needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to monitor and assess performance to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Effective time‑management for self and others.
  • Manual dexterity for repeated finger and wrist movements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information.
  • Ability to record and maintain information in written or electronic form.
  • Capacity to provide information to supervisors and co‑workers by phone, e‑mail, or in person.
