Position Summary
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for various administrative duties in support of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Master of Public Health, and Master of Biomedical Sciences application and interview process. The Admissions Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Enrollment.
This position is located at Brooks City Base in South San Antonio at 7615 Kennedy Hill Drive.

- Serves as first point of contact greeting and assisting visitors and prospective students.
- Responds to student phone calls and emails.
- Coordinates and communicates with prospective students at each stage of the admissions process.
- Assists with the admissions application processes, including grade calculations, scanning documents, and social media checks.
- Assists with the planning and execution of recruitment events.
- Assists with interview preparation.
- Reconciles travel expenses and manages other budget‑related items.
- Provides support for admissions committees and various other school committees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn and post to social media outlets, as well as respond to messages.
- Strong proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure to ensure that written communication is complete, concise, and error‑free.
- Ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and complete multiple assignments.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Work ExperienceTwo (2) years of prior office support experience in a complex office environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Office experience in higher education.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

Work HoursTypical Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional extended hours/weekends to meet departmental needs.
Physical Demands- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs for table set‑up/tear‑down at events and lifting of office/event materials.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, and squat to retrieve office/event materials.
- Ability to push/pull event carts holding up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
- Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, and potential/current students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
