Primary PurposeUnder direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus.
QualificationsEducation/Certification
- High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Effective organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Experience
- One-year clerical experience in office setting
General

Reception and Phones
- Receives and directs incoming calls, takes reliable messages and routes to appropriate staff.
- Greets and directs visitors to campus office.
- Assists public, staff and students as needed.
- Maintains visitor log and issues visitor passes.
Other
- Prepares mailing and labels using personal computer.
- Maintains computerized files using personal computer including reports, employee roster and mailing lists.
- Sorts, distributes or delivers mail, messages and other documents.
- Assists with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc.
- Provides clerical assistance as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Documents student arrivals and departures from the campus.
- Monitors the raptor system for all visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Equipment UsedPersonal computer or online computer terminal, multi-line phone system, printer, calculator and copier.
Working ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Continual sitting, walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching; and carrying. Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions; and prolonged use of computer.
