Human Resources Workstudy Assistant
The Human Resources Workstudy Assistant will assist staff within the Human Resources Office on various daily and long term processes. The assistant will report to the Human Resources Generalist. This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Essential Functions- Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, processing mail, and responding to emails.
- Assist at the front desk, greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer multiline phone system.
- Assist new hires with completing appropriate new hire paperwork.
- Respond to applicant inquiries about job applications utilizing the applicant tracking software.
- Submit background checks.
- Assist with employee appreciation events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Punctuality and dependability.
- Self‑starter / self‑motivated.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn new software programs relevant to office objectives.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference and the NCAA.
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work‑Study program.
Required Work ExperienceExperience using Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior office experience or in a similar setting.
- Typing and data entry skills.
