Immediately hiring a friendly, organized, and dedicated Front Desk Receptionist for a very busy Pet Clinic on the northeast side of San Antonio. This is a customer‑facing role where you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, ensuring a welcoming environment and delivering exceptional customer service. Must love ALL animals!

Pay is $14‑$15/hr. based on experience

Shift is Mon‑Fri 7am‑6pm (open to close) & Sat 7am‑1pm

Duties
  • Greet clients and their pets in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries related to services, treatments, and clinic hours.
  • Manage client records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Process patient intake forms and collect client information.
  • Check in patients for appointments and prepare necessary documentation for the veterinary team.
  • Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Assist with billing, payment processing, and handling insurance claims as needed.
  • Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and well‑stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Help manage inventory for office supplies, pet medications, and pet products.
  • Ensure that clients are informed of any delays, cancellations, or updates to their appointments.
  • Provide compassionate care and attention to pets while they are waiting.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Must love all animals.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist/front desk in a busy environment.
  • Proficient multi‑tasking and filing.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with animals and pet owners.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and basic computer software (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)
  • Ability to stay calm and professional during stressful or emergency situations.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
