Responsible for maintaining student records at the campus level. Process student enrollment, transfers, and withdraws for the campus.
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing.
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Basic math skills
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Three years of clerical experience
Demonstrates thoroughness, reliability and a high degree of accuracy in performing work assignments.
Works cooperatively with others and maintains a positive attitude in the work environment.
Demonstrates initiative and good judgment in problem solving and decision making.
Reports promptly and maintains good attendance.
Uses time productively on the job.
Follows district policies, rules and regulations
Accepts supervisory direction
Strives to improve job skill
Demonstrates tact, courtesy and helpfulness in dealing with staff, students, parents, and visitors in the district.
Enrolls and maintains student demographic data in the student information system and student cumulative folder; notifies appropriate district personnel.
Requests documentation and special program participation records from previous schools upon enrollment of students.
Collects all records and/or required documentation pertaining to student enrollment in accordance with district/state policy.
Maintains PEIMS data in the student information system.
Withdraws students from the student information system; notifies appropriate district personnel.
Provides all records, special program participation and or required documentation to requesting school districts within 30 days.
Maintains PEIMS lever information on the student information system and student cumulative folders; notifies appropriate district personnel.
Maintains confidentiality of personnel and students' information.
Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the SISD safety program.
Supports the goals and objectives of the school district and follows all district policies.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and routine basis to avoid disruption of district operations.
Maintains the confidentiality of the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Reading; ability to perform basic math, ability to perform basic computer functions; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); ability to meet deadlines; maintain emotional control under stress.
Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; works with frequent interruptions.
