Position Information
Salary Range: $54,000 - $58,900/annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job SummaryThe Administrative Services Officer (ASO) ensures efficient departmental operations by managing administrative, financial, and coordination tasks. The ASO provides high-level staff support, exercises independent judgment, and follows established policies to complete assignments.
Core Responsibilities- Manages and schedules complex executive calendars, organizes meetings, appointments, and complex travel for senior staff.
- Provides Senior Vice President executive support; anticipates executive needs and ensures a high level of attention to detail by monitoring communications, presentations, and meeting materials.
- Oversees daily operations to ensure efficiency; optimizes workflows and improves processes; coordinates with university stakeholders to achieve department or college goals; uses independent judgment to make decisions.
- Acts as liaison to coordinate information flow, improves employee awareness and engagement with clear communication.
- Supports departmental or college projects as the administrative contact; tracks timelines and expenditures; verifies documentation and ensures projects are completed on time.
- Manages fiscal activities, including account reconciliation and cost analysis; monitors expenses and processes invoices.
- Prepares and edits reports, presentations, and documents for senior staff; ensures materials are accurate and professional for executive review and decision‑making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, Vocational Training, or Apprenticeship in a related field.
- Seven (7) years of related work experience.
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO‑GA‑48.

Office Environment. Workdays, areas, and hours may vary based on the department’s needs.
Physical DemandsSedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary; if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
