Community Dental Partners is looking for someone who loves being around people. The Insurance Coordinator is responsible primarily for insurance verification and ensuring patients receive a smooth experience. The Coordinator supports patients, staff, and doctors in many ways and helps maintain the front‑office flow.
Essential Duties- Greet patients upon arrival.
- Receive paperwork and insurance information from the Greeter and perform a secondary check for accuracy before scanning into the system.
- Change and update patient status in the computer according to established guidelines.
- Handle routine phone questions regarding appointments, policies, insurance, and treatments; update notes in the system to reflect changes.
- Verify insurance coverage and treatment frequencies when needed.
- Review the schedule in advance to ensure appointments are confirmed and patients are due before confirming them.
- Confirm patients the day before and the day of the appointment; reschedule examination appointments and refer other appointments to the appropriate person if necessary.
- Back up the Greeter when absent or on a trust walk.
- Clean and maintain the front office area/lobby.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Dependability.
- Team player.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
- Flexible and innovative; highly adaptable to a dynamic environment.
