Job Summary
The Gift Services I position supports the Office of Advancement Services by processing charitable gifts, maintaining donor records, and providing customer service to donors and university partners. As part of Advancement & Alumni Engagement , this role helps ensure the accurate and timely processing of gifts while maintaining the integrity of donor information and supporting the university's fundraising mission. Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for data entry and verification in the donor database.
- Enters and verifies gifts and pledges into the database; ensures documentation package is complete and accurate.
- Assigns account numbers, campaign and appeal codes, solicitor codes, and other required information to gifts.
- Delivers gift deposits to Fiscal Services.
- Creates electronic files for gifts, pledges, agreements, and other development documentation.
- Creates and updates constituent records.
- Organizes and maintains the filing system.
- Assists members of the Advancement Services team with special projects or assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- At the department2s discretion, a Bachelor2s degree may be substituted on a one-for-one basis.
- Five (5) years of customer service, data entry or related work experience.
- This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing customer service and resolving questions in a professional office environment.
- Experience processing financial transactions, payments, donations, or similar records.
- Experience maintaining confidential records or databases with a high degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply established procedures, exercise sound judgment, and resolve routine issues while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working in higher education, nonprofit, financial, healthcare, or other administrative environments.
- Experience using constituent relationship management (CRM) or enterprise database systems.

- This position is expected to work onsite during the initial training period. Following successful training and demonstrated proficiency, a hybrid work schedule may be available with supervisor approval based on departmental needs and individual performance.
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasional.
