Supports the operations of the Office of the Dean of Students by completing clerical and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for students, families, faculty, and visitors entering the Dean of Students Office.
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls.
- Provide accurate information about department services, campus resources, hours, and procedures.
- Check in visitors for appointments, workshops, meetings, or events.
- Pick up and deliver materials on campus.
- Complete clerical duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, tracking office supply inventory, and other similar tasks.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace as well as perform light cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, and watering plants.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Able to handle confidential information.
- Able to work in a fast-paced office environment.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor, including attire.
- Punctual, reliable, and detail orientated.
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Experience in a professional office environment.
- Experience answering a multi-line telephone system and use of office equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to show initiative, function independently, pay attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of university resources.
- Experience in a customer service position.
$10.50 per hour
Working ConditionsTypical office environment Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Onsite at the Student Services Building (SSB) Work Shift 10-20 hours per week Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:30pm
