Job SummaryWe are seeking an organized and customer-focused Admissions Officer to support student recruitment, admissions operations, and administrative reporting functions. This position plays an important role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, coordinating recruitment activities, and collaborating with academic departments to support enrollment efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the recruitment and evaluation of prospective students in collaboration with academic program leaders and related departments.
- Advise prospective students and parents regarding admissions requirements, application procedures, and enrollment processes.
- Review, process, and evaluate admissions applications and supporting documentation through multiple application platforms.
- Respond to inquiries from applicants, admitted students, and prospective students regarding application and matriculation status.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing student recruitment events.
- Represent the institution at local and regional recruitment fairs and outreach events.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process.
- Support marketing initiatives through online, print, and social media channels.
- Prepare and maintain admissions-related reports and administrative documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Up to one (1) year of related admissions, recruitment, student services, customer service, or administrative experience.
- Participation in professional organizations such as:
- Texas Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (TAAHP)
- Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO)
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents and records.
- Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete assignments independently.
- Knowledge of admissions processes and academic requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and standard office equipment.
- Onsite office environment.
- Primarily sedentary to light physical activity.
- May require standing, walking, sitting, typing, lifting, reaching, and other routine office-related activities.
- No special vision requirements.
