Administrative Assistant I-Clothing admin:
Under the supervision of the Home Supervisor, the Clothing Administrative Assistant is responsible for sorting, stocking, purchasing, labeling, sewing and delivering clothing items. The Clothing admin solicits individuals' preferences related to clothing; identifies clothing sizes; assists individuals with clothing purchases in the community; assists with laundry (washing, drying, folding and ironing) as needed; assists with maintaining neat and clean closets;
ensures clean, well maintained clothing is available; assists with decorating the home; and assists the Home Supervisor with other duties, as time allows. The Clothing admin must have the skills to:
Do basic sewing and mending. Use a sewing machine and needle and thread. Read, write and do arithmetic. Organize and schedule self in order to fulfill the many aspects of this position. Work harmoniously and productively with co-workers, as well as with people with developmental disabilities.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
Ensures individuals have stylish, well maintained clothing, in order for them to maintain an appearance comparable to society in general.
Consults with individuals and assigned group leaders to determine individual clothing needs and preferences, as evidenced by no documented incidents of failure to do so.
Maintains accurate clothing measurements for each individual on the assigned home, as evidenced by individuals wearing well-fitting clothing.
Prepares appropriate paperwork for the purchase of needed items, as evidenced by no documented incidents of failure to do so.
Assists individual and group leader to purchase well-fitting, stylish clothing, as evidenced by no documented incidents of failure to do so.
Monitors all donated clothing, assisting individuals and group leaders to select attractive clothing the person would enjoy wearing, as evidenced by no documented incidents of…
