OVERVIEW

PEBLOs provide information to active duty and reserve component members (Reserve and Guard) and commanders on program requirements, military benefits, legal rights, and the appeals process. PEBLOs coordinate aeromedical evacuation or other patient travel requirements, TDRL, fitness for duty determinations, lines of duty and other program requirements related to the Disability Evaluation System (DES). PEBLOs provide Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) findings to service member and medical staff.

The PEBLO Assistant serves as an administrative assistant for the PEBLO in the MEB program, DES, TDRL and TRICARE Operations Patient Administration service. Individual will perform various clerical and administrative duties such as initiation and processing of healthcare forms, documents, medical documentation and reports used in patient administration.

Requirements:
  • Education Requirements - Must possess a high school diploma or general educational development equivalency. Completion of an Administrative Assistant program (certificate or Associate's Degree) is desired.
  • Experience Requirement - At least 12 months of experience in an administrative assistant role is required.
  • Active BLS from the American Heart Association

Qualifications:
  • Must have a clear background to obtain security clearance
  • Familiar with organizational structure and operation methods of Air Force preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship:
    Workers performing under this contract must be US Citizens
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications.
  • Must possess organization, problem-solving and communication skills to articulate medical requirements to patients, families/care givers, medical and non-medical staff in a professional and courteous way.
