Automotive B Technician

Position Overview

A technician capable of diagnosing and repairing most systems of the automobile, with little guidance or support from an A-Tech, Shop Foreman, or Team Leader. Efficient and effective at on‑the‑job learning to apply new vehicles and technology when concerns arise. Improved diagnostic skills through training & experience, and competent in complex mechanical repairs.

High School

1-3 years

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic work, and mechanical repairs on customer vehicles.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and parts personnel on what is needed to properly service vehicles.
• Complete vehicle services and/or repairs in a timely manner per customer satisfaction.
• Conduct quality checks on all work performed on vehicles.
• Document all work performed on repair orders.
• Complete Hyundai Training and certifications as needed to advance in your career path.
• Keep the work area as well as the service shop clean, organized, and safe.

Red McCombs Hyundai Northwest is looking for motivated, experienced automotive mechanics/technicians to help grow and expand our thriving and soon to be state‑of‑the‑art Service Department. We offer a 5‑day work week and all training hours paid. Opportunities for future development and growth into a Platinum Master Technician or management positions are available in a rapidly expanding, multimillion‑dollar organization.

$34.00 per hour and up depending on experience.

Full Time

Salary is negotiable.

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry‑recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor‑led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.
