Technology Intern

The Technology Intern supports organizational initiatives across Operations, Business Development, Finance, and Executive leadership by assisting with modern AI, automation, and Microsoft Dynamics 365–based solutions. The role contributes to the design, testing, and enhancement of lightweight copilots, AI-assisted workflows, and Power Automate integrations, ensuring responsible use of data and adherence to internal guardrails. The intern helps maintain and improve data quality within Dynamics 365 CRM (Sales/Marketing), supports Finance through testing and analysis in Business Central, and participates in building integrations across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem—including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and Power Platform services.

In addition, the intern performs user-focused support activities such as drafting test cases, conducting UAT, preparing training materials, documenting standard operating procedures, and resolving Tier-1 application inquiries. The position requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn emerging technologies, and alignment with the company's Servant Leadership and People-Driven values. Through this hands-on experience, the intern gains exposure to real-world business processes, enterprise applications, data management best practices, and collaborative solution-building that enhances operational efficiency across the organization.

Working Conditions:

General office environment. May frequently be required to walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand for long periods, crawl, and work in confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Regular use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-function printer, scanner, and calculator.

Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events; may require occasional travel and overnight stays. May be required to work after hours, including weekends and holidays, to support critical releases, testing windows, or production issues.

Essential Functions:

Improves operations by conducting software and business systems analysis for Dynamics 365 (Sales/Marketing), Business Central, and related Microsoft 365 tools, and recommends changes in policies and procedures. Follows established software system testing and validation procedures for new and existing automations, copilots, and integrations, and suggests improvements to enhance quality and performance. Builds and configures business solutions using no-code and low-code tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft 365 services.

Analyzes user and client needs and requirements to determine feasibility of proposed designs within time and cost constraints; documents assumptions and tradeoffs. Contributes to the design, testing, and enhancement of AI-assisted workflows, copilots, and Power Automate integrations, ensuring responsible use of data and adherence to internal guardrails and security standards. Helps maintain and improve data quality within Dynamics 365 CRM (Sales/Marketing), including data cleansing, field validation, and record maintenance activities.

Supports Finance through testing and analysis in Business Central, including validation of integrations, reports, and configuration changes. Demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, process maps, flow charts, layouts, diagrams, and clear code or configuration comments that can be maintained by others. Executes portions of the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, build/configure, test, deploy, support) with assistance and oversight from the team.

Drafts test plans and test cases, conducts user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, records results, and assists with issue resolution.
