Degree Audit Analyst II

Position Summary

The Degree Audit Analyst II is responsible for providing advanced skills in coordination of the degree audit process through the use of Banner SIS and Degree Works for currently enrolled students. The Degree Audit Analyst II reports to the Registrar.

Job Duties
  • Oversees and coordinates review of current student records to assist the student and academic advisors in meeting all degree requirements using Banner SIS and Degree Works.
  • Coordinates leadership meetings with student success to review specific student concerns presented to the Registrar’s office for resolution.
  • Coordinates training of academic advisors, Registrar staff and administrators for Degree Works, Graduation Audits, and other technologies.
  • Works with leadership, auditors, and advisors to resolve graduation deficiencies; this involves the review and posting of substitutions for degree requirements.
  • Responds to inquiries from students and advisors related to their academic status.
  • Develops reports for submission to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient knowledge of FERPA
  • Ability to learn and effectively apply UIW degree requirements and UIW institutional policies;
  • Strong knowledge of compliance audit process
  • Ability to learn and effectively use the Registrar’s Office degree audit maintenance process (Degree Works);
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Proficiency using Banner, BDM and CRM systems, or similar;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail, to manage time and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to effectively collect and analyze data;
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
  • Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Work Experience

Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in a student report office or other relevant environment in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong proficiency with SCT banner & BMDS /Extender

Strong proficiency with Degree Works and Microsoft Office products

Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm, with occasional extended hours to meet departmental needs especially during peak periods.
