Compliance Manager
- State Expansion Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance, with a background in compliance, regulatory implementation, or project management
  • Experience with state expansion, market entry, regulatory filings, or insurance implementations strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of state insurance regulations and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and work with senior leadership
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Job Summary / Introduction

We are seeking a Compliance Manager
- State Expansion to lead the regulatory and operational execution of new state market launches. This role will coordinate across Compliance, Legal, Product, Underwriting, Claims, IT, Finance, and Operations to ensure markets are launched on time and in accordance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will combine strong P&C insurance knowledge with project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.

Job Description
  • Lead planning, governance, and execution of state expansion initiatives
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure launch requirements are completed on schedule
  • Partner with Compliance and Legal on state filings, approvals, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and mitigate regulatory, operational, and project risks
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to senior leadership

    Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners
  • Coordinate testing, training, operational readiness, go-live, and post-launch activities
  • Develop standardized processes and best practices for future market expansions
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the state expansion process
