AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM ASSISTANT
DESCRIPTION
Assists in the daily administration of the South San Antonio ISD After School Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Assist students in completing daily homework assignments.
* Check to make sure homework is done correctly.
* Help record and maintain the student information.
* Supervise and monitor participants during hand washing and bathroom breaks.
* Supervise and monitor participants during indoor programming and free play.
* Supervise and monitor participants during outdoor programming and free play.
* Provide appropriate First-Aid to participants as the need arises.
* Set up for nutritional snacks.
* Clean up areas after snacks.
* Clean up after participants have left.
* Other duties as assigned by After School Program Facilitator.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Ability to read, interpret and communicate information effectively.
* Ability to work alone or in groups.
* Ability to solve practical problems.
* Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
* Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High School diploma.
* One-year experience in childcare.
Days:
Monday-Friday
Hours:
3:00-6:00 pm
Pay: $18/hour

Armstrong ES, Five Palms ES, Benavidez ES, Hutchins ES, Carrillo ES, Price ES
