Field Project Superintendent
Summary of PositionThe Field Project Superintendent is directly responsible for all of the construction activities on a project site. Additional responsibilities generally will include serving as the Quality Control Manager and Site Safety/Health Officer. Project Superintendents are responsible for onsite scheduling and coordination of self‑performed and subcontracted activities. The Superintendent will lead and manage the on‑site construction team and oversee all work on site.
The Superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on site and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Superintendent will ensure quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials are always available on site. Key focus is on delivering and executing work in a positive, professional manner. Customer satisfaction is the measure of our success.
Role requires the ability to move from site to site, across states, and several projects while maintaining quality service and support.
Position Responsibilities- 5+ years’ experience as a Project Superintendent in the construction industry
- Ensure all activities that occur on the project location are executed in accordance with required safety standards
- Supervise all activities related to the daily construction operations on the project.
- Leading and managing the on‑site construction team.
- Attending production meetings.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of the project.
- Monitor all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate, detailed, written daily reports for each job.
- Maintain communications with Project Manager to ensure proper coordination of the project among the on‑site office, job site operations and subcontractors/suppliers for the project.
- Ability to work with numerous contractors and sub‑contractors in an efficient manner
- Ability to back up Quality Control Manager and Site Safety/Health Officer as required.
- Ensuring quality standards are met.
- Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitoring and ensuring on‑site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and associated software
- OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and Construction Quality Management Certifications is required
