Construction Project Manager (Contract)

Location:

San Antonio, TX (Onsite - Monday-Friday)

Contract Duration: 12 months (extension likely)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of a large‑scale, mission‑critical industrial facility in San Antonio. This role will act as the owner's representative onsite, partnering closely with general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, on‑schedule, and high‑quality project execution.

This is a highly visible role for a construction professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is comfortable owning contracts, schedules, safety, and change management.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Administration & Compliance

* Administer construction contracts from mobilization through closeout

* Enforce contract requirements, drawings, and specifications

* Review and manage change orders, payment applications, and approvals

* Proactively flag decisions required to prevent schedule or cost impacts

Project Coordination & Communication

* Coordinate activities across general contractors, vendors, inspectors, and suppliers

* Manage formal project communications, RFIs, notices, and instructions

* Identify risks and drive corrective action plans

* Ensure compliance with required construction procedures and workflows

Health & Safety Oversight

* Monitor and enforce all site safety requirements

* Report incidents immediately and maintain safety documentation

* Serve as a visible safety advocate onsite

Schedule & Change Management

* Monitor schedules and identify acceleration or resequencing opportunities

* Assess schedule impacts related to scope changes

* Review contractor method statements to support change evaluations

Site Operations & Logistics

* Track delivery and receipt of owner‑furnished equipment

* Coordinate site access requests for workers, visitors, and stakeholders

* Assist in resolving access or logistics issues quickly

Quality Assurance & Closeout

* Review inspection reports and ensure resolution of all issues

* Participate in weekly site walks and project meetings

* Maintain punch lists, closeout documentation, and issue tracking

* Provide weekly written status updates

Qualifications

* 3-4+ years of construction project management experience

* Strong background in industrial or large‑scale commercial construction

* Proven experience with scheduling, safety, and contract administration

* Comfortable working onsite full‑time

* Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
