Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction

We are seeking a mid–senior level Project Manager to lead large-scale heavy civil construction projects ($40M–$60M). This role will oversee one project at a time, ensuring delivery is safe, on schedule, within budget, and executed to the highest quality standards.

• Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of assigned projects
• Lead daily project meetings and coordinate field operations
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Drive problem-solving and ensure project milestones are met

• Champion and enforce company and OSHA safety standards
• Review safety-critical activities (excavation, rigging, trenching, etc.)Ensure all field activities meet safety and compliance requirements

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings
• Ensure all work aligns with contract and quality standards
• Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and reporting

• Develop and manage master schedules and two-week lookaheads
• Optimize construction sequencing and resource allocation
• Coordinate project handoffs and maintain schedule transparency

• Track job costs, budgets, and cash flow
• Manage billing, invoices, purchase orders, and subcontract approvals
• Identify and execute change orders
• Maintain accurate cost projections and reporting
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients and stakeholders
• Build strong client relationships and provide project updates
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers and field teams

• 7+ years of experience in civil construction
• Minimum 5 years of heavy civil construction experience (roads, utilities, earthwork, infrastructure, etc.)
• At least 3 years of earthwork experience in combination with heavy civil projects
