Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking a Scheduling Manager to be located in San Antonio, Texas
. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.
The Scheduling Manager prepares summary level and detailed schedules for proposed or current construction projects. Schedules will be prepared using Bar chart or CPM format as required by the project team or owner. Schedules will be prepared using Primavera P6 scheduling software. Provide progress/schedule updates as required for each project. Provides schedule training and software support as required.
Responsibilities- Prepare summary‑level schedules for proposed projects. Work with the project team to establish sequencing, durations, and general logic for the construction of the project
- Prepare detailed schedules for projects. Monitor project progress against an established baseline
- Develop and analyze man‑hour resources, equipment resources and cost loaded, time‑phased schedules
- Assist in schedule needs relative to contract schedule vs. accelerated schedule as required by the project team. Provide schedules that will need to be issued with contracts or bid documents to subcontractors and suppliers
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to establish timely deliveries of equipment and materials
- Perform Progress/Schedule Updates. Visit and walk projects to gather update/actual information. Interface with the project team with regard to schedule actuals and projections
- Maintain historical schedule data. Provide or report on historical data when required. Maintain spreadsheet or database that can be accessed readily and that can be distributed to the appropriate parties
- Provide impact analysis of schedule changes, identify schedule variances and opportunities and proactively develop mitigation strategies for the Project Management team
- Provide scheduling training to personnel as required. This will include schedule fundamentals and philosophy, as well as P6 software training. Provide technical support to those employees maintaining their project schedules or three‑week look‑ahead schedules for their specific projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A Bachelor’s of Science degree in construction management or related degree is preferred
- Must have 4+ years of experience in Heavy Civil construction
- Strong knowledge of construction systems and trade sequencing
- Presentation skills required in meetings and in training
- Must be able to read plan drawings and specifications
