Entry-Level Field Technician – Construction Materials Testing – San Antonio, Texas

Intertek is actively seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician I to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. team in San Antonio, Texas. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (e.g., soil, concrete, or other materials) and provide assessment of data through reporting.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to perform testing.
• Use specific methods to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to work off‑shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to discriminate sounds.
• Ability to kneel, squat, walk, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
• Ability to work overnight hours and off‑shift.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience in construction materials or density testing.
• ACI Certification.
