As we continue to expand, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is eager to learn, take ownership, and grow into a Project Manager role.
Role DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Management team throughout all phases of construction, from preconstruction through project closeout. This position plays a critical role in coordinating subcontractors, managing project documentation, tracking budgets, maintaining schedules, and ensuring successful project execution.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers with daily project management activities.
- Maintain project documentation within Procore and company systems.
- Distribute drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence.
- Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
- Track permits, inspections, and project milestones.
- Assist with subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
- Review subcontractor invoices and payment applications.
- Track project budgets and cost reports.
- Assist with change order pricing and documentation.
- Monitor commitments, purchase orders, and project expenditures.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and project logistics.
- Assist in maintaining project schedules and look-ahead plans.
- Communicate with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Support field teams in resolving project issues.
- Prepare and distribute bid packages.
- Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Assist with material procurement and long-lead item tracking.
- Verify subcontractor compliance requirements.
- Track punch list completion.
- Coordinate collection of warranties, O&M manuals, and closeout documents.
- Assist in obtaining final inspections and project turnover documentation.
- 1-3 years of construction experience, preferably in commercial construction.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
