Job Description – SuperintendentCentral Southern Construction Corp. (CSC) is a Federal Civil Construction Contractor based in Jacksonville, FL. We have completed projects across the southern, eastern, and midwestern U.S. for clients such as the U.S. Navy, Army Corps of Engineers, Air Force, National Park Service, and FHWA. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily field operations on federal and heavy civil construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards while leading crews and coordinating with subcontractors, project managers, and inspectors.
Manage day-to-day jobsite activities and personnel
Enforce safety standards and compliance with regulations
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment
Track project progress and maintain schedules
Conduct daily reports and site meetings
Communicate with Project Manager and clients on project status
Ensure quality workmanship and timely issue resolution
5+ years experience in heavy civil or federal construction
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and safety practices
Leadership and communication skills to manage crews and subcontractors
Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and schedules
Proficiency in daily reporting and documentation
Valid driver's license; ability to work outdoors in variable conditions
Must pass drug test, background check, and MVR
